Delores Newsome

Delores Newsome, 82, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Ballad Hospice House following a brief illness.She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport.Ms. Newsome enjoyed home craft projects, eating her ice cream while watching “The Young and the Restless”.She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.Ms. Newsome was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She always said she loved all her “babies.Ms. Newsome was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Kimberly.Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Gene “Duke” Newsome (Robin), Jeffery Newsome (Lisa) Christopher “Todd” Newsom (Marlene) and Gina Stewart (Calvin Suttles); grandchildren, Dr. Amber Forrester (Chris), Ashley Newsome(Gina), Storm Newsome, Megan Bullard (Ian), Skylar Stewart (Brishaya), Haylee Suttles, Katelyn Newsome, and Boo Newsome; great grandchildren, Kyzer, Malayah, Zaden, Masen, Holden, Camden, Graysen and future baby girl, Zayla; brothers and sisters, James Spurgeon, Eula Faye Jones, Juanita Depew, Geraldine Chatman (Dickie) and Brenda Spurgeon Graves;A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, March,19, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.Those attending the Graveside Service are asked to meet at Oak Hill Funeral Home at 1:15 pm.The care of Delores Newsome and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
