Dorothy C. Deal

Dorothy C. Deal, 91, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at NHC of Johnson City, after a period of declining health.She was born in Dante, VA, she was a former resident of Benham, KY and had lived in Kingsport most of her life.Dorothy was a Christian and enjoyed her relationship with Jesus Christ.She had a great sense of humor, enjoyed listening to Christian music and loved spending time with her family and friends.She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Deal; beloved daughter, Ellen McConnell; precious grandson, Wesley Deal and parents, William and Ella Mae Bass Clevenger; six sisters and two brothers.Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Gary Deal, Glenna Williams (Curt), Dennis Deal, Victoria “Vicki” Estep and Cathy McConnell; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Salyers and Betty Dunham; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Friday, February 2, 2024, in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.A Celebration of Life Service will follow with Rev. Curt Williams and Pastor Wayne Morelock officiating.A Committal Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Oak Hill III Mausoleum.The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of NHC of Johnson City.The care of Dorothy Deal and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary
