Janis G. Mullins of Kingsport, went to her heavenly home on February 13, 2024.She was born in Pound, VA on March 22, 1934, to the late Charles and Astor Gibson.Janis was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.She retired from the Eastman Legal Department after 29 years of service.Janis was a member of Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church.In addition to her parents, Janis was preceded in death by her husband, Nile D. Mullins.Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, Debra Bowman (Dale), Suzie Mullins (Rick Christian) and Charlie Mullins (Karen); grandchildren, Emily Bowman, Kaylea Newberry (Josh), Jordan Nevle (Andrew); great grandchildren, Luke and Ryan Newberry and Charlie Joe Nevle; sisters, Linda Millhorn and Sue Blizzard; special friends, Pat Whitfield and Mitzi Hall; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2024, in the funeral home chapel.A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 pm with Minister Bob Underwood and Rev. David Randolph officiating.A Graveside Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Meditation. Josh Newberry, Anderw Nevle, Jack Mullins, Wes Mullins, Charlie Mullins, and Butch Bolling will serve as pallbearers.
