Mary Sue Moffitt Sexton, 82, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Sunday, February 25, 2024, at The Villages at Allendale.She was born July 21, 1941, in Robbins, TN to the late James and Arie Gross Moffitt.Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who cared deeply for her family.She was a committed Christian and attended the Baptist church.Mary was an avid doll collector and was a member of the Doll Collecting Club.In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Talmon Sexton; son, Talmon Dwayne Sexton; grandson, Trevor Sexton; sisters, Sarah Lou Moffitt, Cathleen Sexton, and Nancy Delph; brothers, Kelly Moffitt, and Bill Moffitt; foster parents, James and Juanita Hoskins; foster brother, Ronnie Hoskins.Those left to cherish Mary’s memory are her sons, James Sexton, David Sexton, and Jason Sexton (Lindsay); grandchildren, Dwayne (Rachel) Sexton, Jacob (Nikki) Sexton, Lauren (Jason) Zink, Corey Sexton, Tommy Sexton, Tyler (Courtney) Norris, Josh Hall, Briley Hall, Marcie and Will Sexton, and Kenny Sexton; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Allie, Skylar, Bryce, and Cade; foster brothers, Steve Hoskins (Teresa), and Phil Hoskins (Brenda); several nieces and nephews, and many friends.The family will receive friends Thursday, February 29, 2024, 4:00-5:45 pm in the funeral home chapel.A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:00 pm with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating.Graveside Service will be conducted Friday March 1, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Smithers-Moffitt Cemetery in Robbins, TN.
