Tiphanie Lee Dempsey Bigham, 42, of Kingsport, fell asleep and woke up in the arms of Jesus on February 6th.She was born in Bristol, Tennessee on February 17th, 1981, and with her, a special kind of light was brought to the world. Working as more than just a receptionist at Posh Spa and Salon, she was never seen without a smile on her face and an aura of God's love around her.Her father's daughter, Tiphanie is reunited in heaven with her dad, David Dempsey. She is also alongside her father-in-law, Bobby Bigham.Survivors include her husband and best friend of eleven years, Brett Bigham; mother, Brenda Dempsey; daughters, Evie Jewell, husband, Ryan; Samara and Layne Knight; grandchildren, Maci, Ellie, Autry, and Liam on the way; brother, Drew Dempsey, wife, Kristen; in-laws and partners in crime, Kristin and Nevada Hilton; nephews, Zeke, Slade, and Andyn, and a niece on the way; and mother-in-law, Begee Bigham; she also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, and adoring cats.Tiphanie was united in life with Brett and loved him fiercely and ceaselessly every moment of their marriage. She loved her “Big B” more than life itself and never let anyone forget how much she adored him. Her daughters were also the center of her world. She truly showed her devotion every second of every day and never forgot to say those three little words to her girls: “I love you.” Whether it was before going to bed or about to hang up on the phone, she never let them forget her heart burned for them. Those who knew Tiphanie also knew about her love of kitty cats. She treasured her babies with all her heart and everyone she came across surely saw pictures of her kitties. Some may know Tiphanie from the YMCA, where she not only worked, but served as an unequivocal role model for the entire community of Kingsport. Although Tiphanie oversaw staff, you wouldn’t ever see her asking someone to do something she wouldn’t do herself. Whether it was cleaning underneath treadmills or spraying down each piece of equipment, she was always willing to go above and beyond to make sure the members had a top-notch experience. Others may recall seeing her at her salon, washing bowls or doing laundry with an unmistakable skip in her step. She did so much more than just schedule appointments by making every customer feel at home in Posh. To her daughters’ friends, she was “Mamma T”, a soul they could always go to for hair advice and support. No matter where you met Tiphanie, one thing can be said for certain: she was a true hero to everyone she came across. There was never an unkind word that escaped her lips and the impact she has had on this world will live on indefinitely.A Celebration of Life for Tiphanie will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday March 2, 2024, at Sullivan Baptist Church, Kingsport, TN.Her family would like to relay that if those who knew her want to prepare something to say or read, they will be able to share that during the service. No matter how long the service lasts, they want to give anyone and everyone the opportunity to voice the influence Tiphanie has had on their lives, because she certainly left behind an incomparable legacy. The care of Tiphanie Lee Dempsey Bigham has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
